In this poem, the poet has told his loved ones in the poetry about envy that they should represent their wealth and not show it off, because of an evil eye they can become poor.

| The Evil Eye poem in English poetry |
The Evil Eye
Keep wealth and children hidden from the envious eye,
For even a mountain crumbles when under a jealous sky.
The well of wealth, once full and bright,
Can empty swiftly with just one spiteful sight.
Wealth, like water, slips through grasping hands,
And often finds its way to other lands.
Shoes may gleam on feet, no matter the cost,
But even gold, in time, will be lost.
A crown of gold may rest upon your head,
Yet all that glitters will turn to dust, it’s said.
For in the end, no treasure can last,
All fades away, like echoes of the past.
