In this poem, the poet has likened patience and persistence to onions, saying that onions are bitter, but they are the solution to a hundred diseases, while patience is a sweet fruit.

Patience
Though the onion may be bitter, it heals what ails,
Patience, the Prophet said, bears fruit that never fails.
Do not be enamored by the world’s fleeting gleam,
For the world is but a quagmire, a deceptive dream.
Life is but a game, the devil's cunning snare,
Yet with self-control and courage, you’ll find what's rare.
Bravery and restraint are the fruits of the wise,
Cross the river of flames, and heaven shall rise.
In this transient world, temptations abound,
But the path of patience leads to sacred ground.
Endure the trials with a steadfast heart,
For in the end, from this world, you shall depart.
And when you do, with faith as your guide,
The gates of heaven will open wide.
For those who resist the world’s deceit,
Eternal bliss shall be their seat.
